What We Collect
When you use the PolyCog application, we may collect personal data.
When you create a PolyCog account, we collect certain personal data necessary for the creation of your account. This includes your first name, last name, your email address, and a password for your account. You may upload a photo of yourself, and PolyCog will collect permissions to access your mobile device’s camera. Failure to provide certain personal data may make it impossible for PolyCog to provide its services.
In addition to information you voluntarily provide, personal data with respect to your use of PolyCog may be collected. This information includes, without limitation, data about your gameplay and usage and your performance in the game. Currently, this data cannot be used to identify you as the user. PolyCog also utilizes “cookies”. Cookies help us improve the user experience by allowing PolyCog to remember each user’s preferences and track usage data more effectively.
PolyCog may ask for permissions with respect to third-party services, such as Facebook or Google. When you sign into PolyCog with third-party credentials, PolyCog will use those third-party services for authentication. PolyCog may receive certain personal data that you have agreed to provide, including basic information and access to a user’s “friend’s list”. In addition, other permissions may be requested that must be granted by you before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by you at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, please refer to your device settings or contact the Data Controller for support. The exact procedure for controlling application permissions may be dependent on your device and software. Please note that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of PolyCog. If you grant permission for the camera and/or contacts, the respective personal data may be processed (i.e. accessed, modified or removed) by PolyCog.
In order to monitor and analyze web traffic and track behaviors, PolyCog uses the analytics described in this section. PolyCog uses an internal analytics system that does not involve third-parties; however, PolyCog also at times utilizes Facebook Analytics for Apps, a service provided by Facebook. This service collects usage data and other types of data, as specified in its Privacy Policy. In addition, PolyCog utilizes Google Analytics, which is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of PolyCog, to prepare reports on its activities, and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. For more information or to opt out, click here: Privacy Policy – Opt Out
For more information regarding these permissions, please refer to the permissions documentation and the privacy policy of those third-party services.
Our Use of Personal Data and Other Information
PolyCog uses personal data consistent with this Policy. PolyCog may use personal data and other non-identifiable data to improve our understanding of PolyCog users and make PolyCog better for all.
Data, including personal data, is kept for the period of time necessary to provide the services requested by you, or as stated in this Policy. At any point in time, you may request that PolyCog deletes your account and personal data, which PolyCog will do unless otherwise prohibited by law.
Please note that PolyCog may send push notifications to your device.
